The KHL season is nearing an end as its down to the final two teams in the Gagarin Cup.

SKA Saint Petersburg and Metallurg Mg opened up the championship series this past weekend and Game 1 of the series featured just about everything.

The two teams went back and forth on the scoresheet all game long, until SKA finally broke away in the third period. Leading 4-3 late in the game, SKA forward Evgeny Dadonov picked up a loose puck in the neutral zone and then turned around and did the rest himself.

The former member of the Florida Panthers made Metallurg Mg defenceman Chris Lee look absolutely foolish before he walked in all alone and scored and the eventual game-winning goal.

This game featured a few unbelievable goals, including one that came SKA defenceman and former Los Angeles Kings prospect Patrik Hersley a few minutes before Dadonov’s goal.
