Every summer, NHL teams host their annual development camps to give prospects a chance to get some sort of experience in an NHL environment and to prove that they have what it takes to make the NHL roster.

The Montreal Canadiens wrapped up their development camp on Wednesday morning, so the youngsters got one final chance until the preseason to show what they’ve got. Since it was the last scrimmage, defenceman Nikolas Koberstein and left winger Brennan Saulnier decided to drop the gloves and go toe-to-toe in a rare development camp fight.

The two ended up getting some really good shots in, especially No. 92 Saulnier, who connected on a few good lefts at the beginning of the bout.

Both players came from the Western Collegiate Hockey Association, so perhaps there’s some bad blood between them. If there is, it’s time to drop it because they’re teammate now.
