The Florida Panthers selected Aaron Ekblad with the first overall pick in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft and he’s played a key role on their blue line ever since his rookie campaign.

The Panthers will host the Calgary Flames on Friday night and will look to build off their recent 7-4 victory over the St. Louis Blues before they head into their bye week. Although they’ll be out of game action until next weekend, Ekblad will be able to stay warm during his off-time thanks to the new mini rink he just installed inside his garage.

The soon-to-be 22-year-old defenceman recently teamed up with Xtra Ice, a company dedicated to creating the best possible synthetic ice for home training and now he has his own mini rink to show for it.
