The Lighthouse of Broward is a Florida-based agency that focuses on providing social support and recreational activities for blind people.

Last week the agency teamed up with the Florida Panthers to help give one of its visually impaired students the full hockey experience.

13-year-old Sydney got the full hockey experience thanks in part to Lighthouse of Broward and the Panthers organization, which included a trip to the team’s morning skate, a meet and greet with the players in the locker room, and tickets to the team’s game later that night against the Philadelphia Flyers.

Aside from treating Sydney to an incredible day full of hockey, Lighthouse of Broward was also awarded $25,000 that same night.
