The hearts of Packers fans were crushed after Aaron Rodgers suffered a broken collarbone in week six of the NFL regular season.

Since the injury, Green Bay has slowly fallen out of playoff contention. Backup quarterback Brett Hundley has had his ups and downs, but inevitably has been unable to fill Rodgers’ shoes. Through seven games, the former UCLA star has led the team to a 2-5 record. Number one receiver Jordy Nelson has seen the harshest dip in production, failing to score a touchdown since the change.

Surgery went well. Thanks for all the love, support, thoughts and prayers. #comebackstartsnow #riseagain #

Cheeseheads were ecstatic on Sunday after Rodgers was seen throwing Hail Mary passes ahead of the team’s Sunday night contest against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Watch as he sent the pigskin flying 50-yards through the air.

If that wasn’t enough, he was also caught throwing a 34-yarder.

Rodgers is unable to return to action until week 15 when the Packers hit the road to take on the Carolina Panthers. While the QB still has a ways to go in his recovery, things are looking as though they’re trending in the right direction.

If you were clever enough to hold onto Rodgers for the fantasy playoffs, it’s looking like the decision is going to pay off.
