For a team not currently sitting in a playoff spot, the Carolina Hurricanes have certainly received a lot of positive media. It’s not necessarily for their play – although they do have some emerging young talent – but fans are more interested in talking about the culture change in Raleigh. PNC Arena hasn’t been such a happening place since the ‘Canes took home Lord Stanley in 2006.

It’s because they’re having fun. We aren’t talking about putting together a skills competition or a fan fest either, they are involving their fans every chance they get. When you go to see the Hurricanes in Carolina, you’re in for some fun if they take home the W.

Following in the footsteps of the NFL reinstating creative touchdown celebrations, the Hurricanes have put together a string of creative win celebrations.

On top of this, they had a little extra to celebrate. Star forward Sebastian Aho potted his second career hat trick, and the team made sure to show him a little love as a result.

The culture change is in full effect, and if the ‘Canes start winning a few more games they could easily take full control of the “best team to be a fan of” title.

They’re already there in some people’s minds.
