Over the past couple of months there have been multiple rumours about Jimmy Butler wanting out of Minnesota and on Wednesday afternoon those rumours were confirmed after Butler officially requested a trade from the Timberwolves.

According to multiple reports the 29-year-old, who is expected to become a free agent next summer, has submitted a list of teams he would be open to signing an extension with next year and it’s a short one. Shortly after Shams Charania went public with the trade request, one of the first people to comment on the news was Andrew Wiggins’ brother, Nick.

The tweet was later deleted by Nick, but not before Butler got wind of it. As you probably already guessed, Butler did not stay quiet and fired back at the comment through his Instagram story.

After Wiggins' brother sent out the now-deleted tweet and Butler responded on his Instagram story, former NBA player Stephen Jackson chimed in on the whole thing with a NSFW re-enactment.

The Timberwolves forward didn't take too kindly to the comments and was quick to get involved in the entire thing as he called out Jackson and others who aren't close to the whole situation through his own Instagram story, where he did not hold back one bit.

Yikes. It doesn’t look like Butler and Wiggins will be hitting the floor as teammates next season. Turns out Butler is already planning ahead to next summer and is thinking of the possibilities out west.

It’ll be interesting to see where Butler ends up, but it will most likely be the Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers or New York Knicks based on his list.
