Ladies and gentlemen, we have an early goal-of-the-year candidate.

Okay, we know itโ€™s only May but seriously, Team Canada forward Anthony Mantha just scored an absolutely RIDICULOUS goal against Germany. The 24-year-old used his massive 6โ€™5 frame to steal the puck before proceeding to go through-the-legs for his sixth marker of the tournament.

What. A Goal.

The hockey world was simply in awe from the effort:

One other goal so far sticks out as a contender for goal of the tourney and it came in the form of a nifty deke-and-tuck from projected #2 pick Kaapo Kakko. He danced his way to an absolute beauty against Slovakia en route to scoring a hat-trick.

Itโ€™s still early, but youโ€™ve got to think this one will still be a popular pick in goal-of-the-year voting come December.

Wow.
