The St. Louis Blues were on pace to have a season to forget when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve, but it turned into a season to remember forever.

They put together one of the most impressive runs in the second half of the season in the history of sports and many people thought they would burn out once the playoffs rolled around. However, that was not the case at all as they ended up being the last team standing when it was all said and done and they got to take the Stanley Cup back to St. Louis for the first time in the franchise’s history.

Since it was the first time the Blues ever won the Stanley Cup, their fans went all out in the celebration and broke a record along the way.

Historic year for the St. Louis #Blues.

Stanley Cup Champions merchandise sales are the highest they’ve been in nearly a decade with the Blues’ victory and it’s easy to understand why considering the franchise has been around since the 1967-68 campaign and they’ve only missed the playoffs nine times in all those years, with their most recent miss coming last year.

Blues fans aren’t the only ones setting records with their team’s championship, though, as Raptors fans managed to set a record for post-championship sales.
