Everyone has those moments in hockey that they just want to erase from their memory.

It can be a poor performance, a regretful hit, or a missed deke, but for Washington Capitals goaltender Braden Holtby during last night’s 6-4 road loss to the Montreal Canaidens, it came in the form of a pretty ugly fall. As both teams prepared for a faceoff in the Capitals’ zone, Holtby skated out of his crease to prepare for the draw but completely wiped out in front of a packed crowd at the Bell Centre. The incident looked nothing short of awkward…

Yikes!

The fun didn’t stop there for the netminder either. After Habs forward Charles Hudon got all up in his space, Holtby took his stick and gave it a nice little toss. NO STICK FOR YOU CHARLES!

Sure, the game was tough but Holts can keep his head up knowing that goalies have these kinds of embarrassing moments sometimes. Take this KHL tendy for example, who let a softy in from centre ice!

Кутейкин-стайл. Is this becoming a new thing?

Last night was one to forget for the Saskatchewan native but hey, at least he left hockey fans with some pretty memorable moments.
