Nazem Kadri and Jake Gardiner have transitioned together from boys to men with the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Years ago, their fame in Toronto was comparable to a “boy band”, to which Kadri likened the Backstreet Boys and Gardiner went with N’Sync.

Now, there’s a new crop of superstar rookies on the team and the duo is playing a different role.

With the new group of rookies on the team, Gardiner and Kadri are embracing the role of mentors while they enjoy the most productive seasons of their career.

In this week’s Cabbie Presents, Gardiner and Kadri discuss their new role, reveal who Mike Babcock has really trusted this season, talk about Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews’ love for “dabbing” and much more. You can watch the entire episode by clicking here

The new members of the team have definitely given the Leafs a new image, and they’ve found more ways to have fun this season than by scoring goals and winning games. They've taken team vacations, and even took part in their own Cereal Series.
