Canada has a ton of Junior hockey coming its way in the next 14 years.
TSN’s Gord Miller reported on Tuesday morning that Canada will host six of the next 14 IIHF World Junior Hockey Championships
Canada has hosted the tournament 13 times since 1977 with their last time being in 2015. There, the Canucks captured gold after defeating the Russians 5-4 in the championship game. The country has won gold five times on home soil.

The Tournament is set to take place in Vancouver and Victoria next year and the Czech Republic the following year. After hosting the 2018 tourney, the USA will serve as the host country just two more time until 2032. It’s worth noting that just six countries were included in Miller’s Tweet.
Canada will look to replicate its success from the 2018 tournament after they captured the championship thanks to a late heroic goal by Tyler Steenbergen. Over the years, the tournament has proven to have the most success in Canadian cities, so it makes sense that they will host nearly half the games going forward. Get ready Canadian hockey fans, because you’re about to be hit with a whole lot of World Junior action.
