The Carolina Hurricanes may not be on many people’s radar when it comes to Stanley Cup contenders, but they have been in the news an awful lot more this year than previous years. It’s all to do with how much fun they’re having.

The “Bunch of Jerks” in red and black have upped the entertainment value of their games by playing into their new vibe. It all started with “Storm Surges”, which are essentially creative salutes or celebrations to their home crowd after winning at PNC Arena.

It goes beyond that though.

Their video team has also been integral in releasing fun, behind-the-scenes content that has helped to put the Hurricanes near the top of the power rankings when it comes to NHL social presences. Watch out, Vegas.

On Monday, March 11 (also known as National Napping Day), the ‘Canes released yet another entertaining video of Andrei Svechnikov and Dougie Hamilton pulling a little prank on teammate Warren Foegele.

While the video cuts off before we’re able to see his reaction, it’d be fun to know what his face looked like when he saw what the pranksters had done.

Hopefully he wasn’t stuck on a bad song…
