The Ottawa Senators played their final home game of what has been a disappointing campaign Monday night.

Ahead of the game and after it, fans and members of the media couldn't help but wonder if it would be Erik Karlsson's last game on home ice as a member of the Senators.

If it was Karlsson's last home game as a Sen, then it was perfect thanks to these unbelievable connections to his number from the game.

Furthermore, Matt Duchene scored the final goal of the game for the Senators with 65 seconds left on the clock and Karlsson drew an assist on the goal.

The strange coincidences from the game in connection with Karlsson's number can't be explained, nor do we need them to be explained, just like we don't need an explanation as to why he took the puck at the end of the game (even though he gave one).

Nobody knows what the future holds for Karlsson, but No. 65 will always hold a special place in the hearts of Senators fans and vice versa.
