Tonight's Carolina Hurricanes victory over the Toronto Maple Leafs was nothing short of magical, with Marlies' Zamboni driver and emergency backup netminder, David Ayres, getting the nod when both goalies succumbed to injuries.

While the whole hockey world was on the edge of their seats to see Ayres face a shot, one person in Scotiabank Arena was probably willing the puck to stay as far away from the Canes' net as possible: his wife, Sarah.

Sarah's Twitter account blew up during the game with some hilarious Tweets narrating Dave's experience.

There's also a fairly vulgar one from when he let the two quick ones in, which was totally warranted, but you can check that one out on your own.

Following the game, the duo talked a bit about nerves, and Dave admitted he definitely had some.

Congrats, Dave and Sarah!
