Erik Karlsson is one of the biggest names on the free agent market heading into the NHL’s offseason and there’s already plenty of rumours flying around in regards to where the two-time Norris Trophy winner will be playing next season. From staying put in San Jose to heading back to Ottawa, there are a few teams being linked to the 6-time NHL All-Star.

However, the 29-year-old recently had surgery and still has nearly a month until the market opens up, there’s no rush for Karlsson to choose a team just yet. On Friday night, the 15th overall pick from the 2008 NHL Draft was in attendance for Game 4 of the NBA Finals and he was not alone.

Karlsson and San Jose Sharks forward Logan Couture were both in attendance for the fourth game of the series, only his Sharks teammate is cheering for his hometown team and not the city he calls home during the regular season.

The NHL defenceman was also in attendance for Game 3 of the NBA Finals, so you can understand why a lot of hockey fans are expecting him to re-sign with the Sharks at some point this summer.
