It was the blown call felt all across the football world.
If you’ve been living under a rock for the past 24 hours, the Los Angeles Rams are off to the Super Bowl but not without some major controversy. During a crucial play, the New Orleans Saints were searching for a 1st down that would essentially punch their ticket to Atlanta. Instead, the ball fell to the turf after what appeared to be a clear pass interference call.
Unfortunately for the Saints and their fans, the flag did not fly.
Pretty clear that Nickell Robey-Coleman made contact too early. He even said so himself. Since then, the refs have endured a barrage of anger and bewilderment. Oh, and a little sarcasm.
An eye doctor, Crystal Vision Center, is now getting involved by sarcastically offering a free eye exam to any NFL referee that is in need.
“You know who you are.” Not trying to hide any of the tongue-in-cheek motive there.
