The 106th Grey Cup was a big one for the Calgary Stampeders as they not only captured their 8th Grey Cup title in franchise history, but they got the monkey off their back after coming up short the previous two seasons in the biggest game of the year.

On Tuesday, the team was welcomed back to town by thousands of Calgary residents and Stampeders fans with a celebration rally and the celebration continued on Wednesday night at the Calgary Flames’ game. Ahead of the Flames’ tilt with the Dallas Stars, the entire Stamps roster hit the ice with the Grey Cup and got an awesome standing ovation from the home crowd.

Aside from the standing ovation and warm welcome they got from everyone in attendance, they also lent their voices, or what was left of them anyways, to help with the singing of O Canada ahead of the game.

It’s the Stampeders’ first Grey Cup title since the 2014 season so you can bet the city is going to soak in every moment of this while they can.
