When it comes to his prisoners, Gritty truly doesn't discriminate against anyone and will take on any opponent, no matter their age or size.

During the first intermission between the Flyers and Lightning game on Saturday afternoon, a little scrap broke out between the Flyers mascot and one of the mite hockey players who was taking part in the mini intermission match.

But this time around, Gritty wasn't really the instigator but had no problems in answering the bell after he was chased down into a corner by one of the little guys. After Gritty was knocked down, he decided to exact some revenge, as they mixed it up once again, this time at centre ice.

No ref was needed to break up the tilly, as Gritty picked the mite and escorted him to the penalty box for the rest of the game.

How about that, a penalty in a mite intermission game. Have you ever seen that before?

Finally, someone is standing up to his recklessness.

Regardless, Gritty is making a strong case to hold down the top spot in Season 2's opening BarDown Mascot Rankings.
