The Cleveland Cavaliers shocked the entire basketball community this week when they traded what seemed like their entire roster at the NBA trade deadline.
One of the players who was shipped out of Cleveland during the hectic afternoon was veteran Dwyane Wade, who was shipped back to Miami.
Considering he was the face of the franchise for so long and he provided Heat fans with so many great moments during his time in Miami, everyone within Heat Nation was happy to see the franchise’s greatest player return to the city where it all started for him.
A lot of people didn’t know if the trades were real or not since they all came to light all at once, and one person who certainly didn’t believe it is Miami Heat centre Hassan Whiteside.
Whiteside thought the reporter was making up the news that Wade was shipped back to Miami, but once he realized the reporter was telling the truth the Heat big man was all smiles.
The two played two seasons together in Miami before Wade decided to sign with Chicago ahead of the 2016-17 season, but now they’ll get plenty of opportunities to share the court together.
