When Connor Hellebuyck led the Winnipeg Jets out onto the ice for their game against the Calgary Flames on Monday night, you might have noticed something different about him.

While they didn’t hit the ice wearing their Reverse Retro jerseys, that didn’t stop Hellebuyck from debuting his new mask he had designed for their Reverse Retro nights.

The mask was designed by Steve Nash of EYECANDYAIR and it includes a tribute to the late Dale Hawerchuk on the right side of the mask, while the left side features current teammates Andrew Copp, Kyle Connor, Adam Lowry, Dylan DeMelo and Mathieu Perreault.

It’s not the first time we’ve seen the Jets netminder show some love to his teammates on his mask, as one of his masks from the 2018-19 season featured a shoutout to Dustin Byfuglien.

Hellebuyck’s Reverse Retro mask is easily one of the nicest masks we’ve seen so far this season.
