Hockey players are taught to protect their goalie at all costs.

If an opponent runs into your goalie, even by accident, someone will most likely step in and throw some punches or at the very least have some words for that player.

In some cases, rather than players sticking up for their goaltender, goaltenders will stick up for themselves by getting involved with the player that hit them.

That was the case in a game between Hermes and Espoo United in Finland's second highest hockey league.

Rasmus Tirronen took a hit from a player trying to crash the net, and he wasn't happy about it to say the least.  As the broadcast showed the replay of the hit, though, something happened, because when they came back to live action, Tirronen and the other goalie, Mikael Edelmann, were trading haymakers.

There's nothing like a good ol' goalie fight, and we imagine whatever frustrations Tirronen had after getting hit were gone once the fight was over.

Tirronen's team also ended up winning the game after being down 3-0, so maybe his fight sparked his team to complete the comeback.
