Even when the writing is on the wall for a player to be traded, it still sends ripples through the hockey world when they actually are.

Tonight, TSN's Darren Dreger broke that longtime LA King Tyler Toffoli was traded to the Vancouver Canucks. The return for LA looks great, and includes Tim Schaller, prospect Tyler Madden, a second round pick this draft, and a conditional pick next year if Toffoli re-signs. Even though he was high on the Trade Bait list and the trade might have seemed inevitable, his move has evoked reaction from all over the hockey world.

While some are unsure if the return was worth what the Canucks gave up to get him, the reaction seems to be generally positive.

Toffoli, who won a Stanley Cup with the Kings in his first year in the league, will make his debut as a Canuck on Wednesday against the Wild.
