The Winnipeg Jets continued their impressive season tonight with a convincing 4-0 victory over the St. Louis Blues. With the win, Winnipeg drew within two points of Nashville for first place in the Central division and extended their lead to nine points over the Blues in the Western Conference.

There was something different about tonight for Winnipeg, though, and it came off of the ice. Captain Blake Wheeler, who scored in tonight’s victory, shared a photo of the player’s pregame outfits to the game. Rather than rocking the standard single-coloured suits, members of the team wore a bizarre array of outfits.

Pretty win, ugly suits @nhljets

Think it almost goes without saying that Jets forward Matthieu Perreault stole the show.

The Jets aren’t the only team that have made a trip to the rink in funky outfits. Earlier in the season, the Montreal Canadiens wore some ugly, ugly Christmas suits that featured all sorts of weird designs.

And who could forget the Pittsburgh Penguins’ recent team photo featuring top-hats and bowties?

Things are different for the Jets this year, who find themselves truly contending for a Stanley Cup for the first time in franchise history. It’s nice to see that they’re having some fun on the way to their probable playoff appearance.
