It’s tough determining what the perfect gift to receive on Christmas would be. But for hockey fans, we think that we might have found one.

Sure, waking up to a new hockey stick or pair of skates is obviously an ideal situation. Heck, even a new pair of gloves often does the trick. But can you imagine receiving the Stanley Cup? Well, it looks like that could be the case! Earlier today, its keeper Philip Pritchard captured the mug being stashed into Santa’s Christmas bag. That just might be the most valuable gift you’ve ever held onto Santa!

Honestly, we’re just pretty pretty jealous of the dude who got to dress up as Santa for this.

Okay, so the Cup would be the ultimate gift but we managed to find a few other clever ones for certain players around the league. John Tavares receiving a new pair of pajamies? Brent Burns getting that much needed razor to trim his beard (at least some of it)? Yeah… sounds like a pretty ideal couple of gifts!

As it turns out, Santa is quite the hockey guy! We had a chance to interview him and based on his hockey lingo, you can probably guess ‘Kris’ consumes a lot of hockey. His reindeer seem to be fans of the sport as well.

We have a feeling BarDown’s Corwin McCallum would loves meeting St. Nick...

So, which team will receive the shiny new cup as a gift this year (even if it’s a few months late)?
