Jack Campbell won his 11th consecutive game on Saturday night when the Toronto Maple Leafs defeated the Ottawa Senators 6-5. The win set an NHL record for Campbell, who past Carey Price’s mark of 10 consecutive wins to start a season.

It was evidentially somewhat of a strange feeling or Campbell. It’s not very often you give up five goals and call it a special night, but the Leafs’ offence created a bit of an extra cushion for their undefeated goalie.

After the game, Campbell – who is becoming a fan and teammate favourite in Toronto – expressed his appreciation for the effort.

A Red Lobster dinner for the whole team, that will certainly squash any ill-feelings towards Campbell’s spotty performance. Saying that, we’re pretty sure there are no bad feelings towards “Soup” in general. Guy is so likeable, sheesh…
