Because the Baltimore Ravens have brought rookie and dual-threat quarterback Lamar Jackson into their employ, they’ve dabbled with a few two-QB looks, which means Joe Flacco is occasionally finding himself out wide.

He isn’t trying very hard out there.

Looks can be deceiving — standing that still isn’t easy! When Mark Sanchez played a similar role alongside Tim Tebow (man, the Jets), he was easy false-start bait. And of course, there’s little reason to risk a Flacco injury by having him run actual routes.

But you see, it’s all part of Flacco’s plan. Eventually, he’ll stand so still as to become invisible to the naked eye, leading to easy catches when defenders forget about him. Boom. Then he’ll be elite at two positions.

Anyway, it didn’t work out so well for the Ravens in this one, since they ultimately lost to the New Orleans Saints. They nearly tied the game to send it into a likely overtime period, but they were doomed, remarkably, by the first extra point miss of Justin Tucker’s career.
