It’s finally come to an end.

The Winnipeg Jets’ impressive season concluded on Sunday afternoon after the Vegas Golden Knights won their fourth consecutive game to clinch the Western conference Finals 4-1.

After Winnipeg defeated the Nashville Predators in round two, the team couldn’t seem to get the engine running in the Conference Finals. Following a four-goal performance to open the series in Game 1, they managed to score just six over the next four games.

Canadians everywhere were disappointed with the loss but made sure to express their support for the remaining team. The most notable reaction came from Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who thanked the organization for their impressive run.

At this time next year, perhaps the Prime Minister will be congratulating Winnipeg for advancing rather than seeing their season come to the end. With a young strong core, they have what it takes to make a trip back to the Western Conference Finals next season.
