The Memphis Grizzlies selected Ja Morant with the 2nd overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft and he hasn’t let them down as he leads the team in points per game (18.9), assists per game (6.5) and steals per game (1.3).

On Friday night, Morant and the Grizzlies were in Cleveland to play the Cavaliers and the 20-year-old guard nearly came up with the dunk of the year and ended Kevin Love’s career all on play.

JA MORANT ALMOST SUBMITTED A LATE ENTRY FOR DUNK OF THE DECADE 😳

Morant got some major air and nearly hopped right over Love while posterizing the Cavs’ big man, but he came up a little short on making the basket. However, that didn’t stop Love from showing love to the rookie for his efforts after the game.

It’s too bad Morant couldn’t slam the ball home, but the attempt was still incredibly impressive.
