The Manitoba Moose are one of the best teams in the AHL this season as they own a 34-15-4-3 record for 75 points and sit comfortably in first place in the Western Conference.

The Moose played a double header last weekend at home against the Chicago Wolves and now they’re off until this weekend where they’ll wrap up an eight-game home stand with a double header against the Iowa Wild. Since the guys have some extra time off this week they decided to do something special, so players made surprise visits to 11 different schools on Wednesday afternoon as part of the Stick to Reading program.

The guys split up and made different spots at different schools within the community and spent the afternoon reading and interacting with the children, and they also sent them home with some autographs as well.

Everyone loves having guest speakers in class and it’s even better when the people coming to visit your class are some professional hockey players.

It's definitely an experience all the children will remember for a long time.
