Toronto Maple Leafs general manager Kyle Dubas has a ton of work on his plate in the next two seasons.

Like dealing with RFA William Nylander hasn’t been enough, the 31-year-old will be tasked with signing two of his team’s other two top guns; 2016 first overall pick Auston Matthews and the electrifying (and animated) Mitch Marner. Talks have been heating up about what the latter’s next contract could be like, with many arguing he will become one of the team's highest paid players. Marner won’t be a RFA until next season so there’s really no rush, and his agent Darren Ferris made that clear on TSN 1050’s Leafs Lunch.

In an ideal world, Dubas would likely want to have Marner signed sooner than later, however that won’t exactly be easy. With Tavares on the books for $11 million annually over the next seven years and Nylander reportedly asking for as much as $8 million per season, it’s going to take a ton of maneuvering for Dubas to keep all of his players in blue and white for the foreseeable future.

It doesn't look like #Leafs RFA William Nylander is heading anywhere 👀

With the 2019-20 season seemingly up in the air in Toronto, now certainly seems like the right time for the team to win.
