Connor McDavid is definitely not the most outspoken player in the league, so when you hear him giving his opinion on a topic, most people listen.
The latest topic that has been discussed by many different players, media personalities and coaches is the goalie interference reviews that have been happening this season. The discussion is starting to peak after several confusing reviews in a row and McDavid’s may have brought the most attention to it last night after he poked some fun at the refs by telling them to review his shootout goal.
He actually received a 10-minute "Abuse of Officials" penalty (Which was meaningless because it was the end of the game) for the joke and he spoke about it why he did it after the game.
Clearly the refs were a little upset, with a somewhat petty penalty they attributed to him after the game, but we’re sure most of them can take a joke. After all, they have become the biggest comedians in the league over the past couple of years.
