Everyone knows what Michael Jordan was capable of during his playing days and they’re well aware of the records he set and numbers he put up during his career, but now he’s working on making a name for himself in the front office.

The principal owner and chairman of the Charlotte Hornets can often be spotted sitting courtside at the Spectrum Center during the team’s home games and he’s not afraid to get vocal during games, just like his playing days. On Wednesday night the Hornets edged the Detroit Pistons 108-107, but they nearly handed the Pistons the win late in the game.

Thinking the time on the game clock had officially expired, second-year guard Malik Monk ran onto the court to celebrate the win and ended up getting a technical foul for leaving the bench and running onto the court. As a result, MJ went full dad mode on the 20-year-old and smacked him in the back of the head.

Many people know exactly what it’s like to be in Monk’s shoes as you’ve most likely done something over the years that resulted in you getting slapped by one of your parents, and many parents can probably relate to MJ’s reaction to the bonehead move by Monk.

Got to give Monk some credit, though, as he managed to smoothly dodge MJ’s first slap attempt without even realizing it.
