Ladies and gentlemen, baseball is BACK!

The regular season will kick off on March 28 but in the meantime, teams have been warming up in spring training. The best moments of the year don’t typically come in the spring, but Detroit Tigers first baseman Miguel Cabrera already made what could be a play of the year candidate come October. With Minnesota Twins shortstop Ehire Adrianza on first base, Cabrerra nearly missed the original tag. BUT he waited, and waited, and waited until he completely fooled Adrianza with the oleeeee hidden ball trick. One of the greatest tricks in all of sports!

Take a seat Adrianza!!!!

This is probably one of the finer hidden ball tricks we’ve seen but we’ll let you decide. Here’s a look at a couple of other players who played it cool before tagging their opponent out. Honestly, we’re just surprised that players haven’t learned their lesson by now.

Okay, so we’ve seen the hidden ball trick take place in the infield, but we can assure you that a similar trick in the outfield looks just as weird. Let’s take a look back at a play by Todd Frazier from last September that involved a fake out. The guy used a fan’s ball from the stands to make it appear as though he made an unbelievable grab, butttttt he didn’t.

'Just win baby?!'

We can’t wait to see more of this kind of stuff in just a few weeks’ time. Bring on April already!!!!
