So, how are teams around the MLB feeling about the Houston Astros this season?
If the first few games of spring training are any clue, well, it looks like they could be in for a painful season. So far, no other team has been struck by more pitches than the Astros, who have been struck seven times in five games.
The players who have registered a HBP so far: Alex Bregman, Dustin Garneau, Jose Altuve, Osvaldo Duarte, Alex De Goti, Aledmys Diaz and Jake Meyers.
We’ll see if this holds up in the regular season — commissioner Rob Manfred had previously spoken about protecting the Astros from being targeted by opposing pitchers.
Whether they’re getting beaned by pitches or hearing boo birds from opposing crowds, though, we’re sure people are going to let the Astros know just how they feel this season.
