The Baltimore Orioles are coming off their worst season since 1939 when they were the St. Louis Browns and it doesn’t look like things are going to get any better at any point in the near future.

On Wednesday afternoon the Orioles paid a visit to the Chicago White Sox and the O’s showed why they’re considered to be one of the worst teams in baseball in a couple of ways. In the bottom of the third inning White Sox designated hitter Yonder Alonso hit a ball to first base that could have been turned into a double play or at least an easy out at first, but neither one of those things happened.

The ball was too much for Orioles first baseman Renato Núñez to handle in more ways than one as he bobbled the original hit and the throw from second baseman Jonathan Villar. As a result the White Sox scored three runs in the inning to take a 4-0 lead.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

However, the White Sox aren’t much better than the Orioles as they ended up blowing a four-run lead at home.
