Pekka Rinne is one of the greatest goalies to ever suit up in the NHL as the as he’s just two wins away from moving into the top 20 on the NHL’s all-time goalie wins leaderboard.
The 37-year-old was on the bench for the Predators’ lone trip to Ottawa on Thursday night, so for any fans that made it out to the arena hoping to see him play, they were out of luck as Juuse Saros ended up getting the start.
However, for one Preds fan it meant he got to spend the night sitting beside the 2018 Vezina Trophy winner and he took full advantage of the opportunity.
It doesn’t hurt to ask your favourite players for a photo because most of the time they might be up for it, and this young Preds fan found that out in the best possible way.
Got to love Rinne coming through for the fans even on his day off.
