Being a goalie is definitely the most stressful position in hockey.

You have the undeniable ability to make or break the game in the most vital of moments, and the pressure of knowing this could be overwhelming.

Especially when the NHL’s save percentage is down league-wide, at all-time low .908.

While this could be a startling stat for goalies around the league, Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne offered a pretty simple explanation as to why the numbers seem so low.

You know what? Fair enough.

If we had absolute snipers like Kucherov, Gaudreau, and McDavid coming down on us, we’d probably have a startlingly similar answer.

How much can the goalies do? These guys are unbelievable.

The rise in unstoppable offensive power seems to be the trend though all leagues, but goalies haven't shyed away from the mounting pressure and the growing challenge.

No, we definitely don’t think goalies are getting worse, and Rinne definetly has a point.
