The new NWSL team in Los Angeles officially revealed its name earlier this week and they’ll be known as Angel City FC.
With the announcement of the team name also came the announcement of the additions to their star-studded ownership group, which now includes New Jersey Devils defenceman PK Subban.
Subban tweeted about his excitement to be part-owner and to be part of the team, and other newcomers include Olympic gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, NFL All-Pro Ryan Kalil, LA Galaxy star Cobi Jones, pop star Becky G, actress Sophia Bush and late night host James Corden.
The ownership group also includes tennis icons Serena Williams, Billie Jean King and Ilana Kloss, US women’s national team legend Mia Hamm, WNBA legend Candace Parker and her daughter Lailaa, and actress Natalie Portman, making it the most-star studded ownership group in sports.
