The KHL changed up the All-Star Game this season and found different ways to add some extra excitement to the weekend. One of the changes they made to this year’s event was giving four of the top players from the MHL Challenge Cup a chance to play in the KHL All-Star Game.

One of the four players selected to play in the KHL All-Star Game this year was 18-year-old Andrei Altybarmakyan, a member of Serebryanye Lvy St. Petersburg. The youngster ended up playing for the Chernyshev Division in the game, and they were very happy to have him on board.

The St. Petersburg native has been on a tear this season as he has scored 20 goals and has registered 44 points through 30 MHL games. On top of his impressive campaign, Altybarmakyan's year can get even better this summer as he is expected to go at some point in this year's NHL Entry Draft.
