You Can Play was launched back in 2012 and it has grown tremendously since its inception. Over the years, many different professional and amateur sports franchises and leagues have gotten on board with the You Can Play Project as a way to ensure the safety and inclusion of all in sports.

From the CFL to the NHL, You Can Play has partnered with various leagues over the past five years and now they can add the Toronto Raptors and the NBA to the ever-growing list.

On Wednesday night, the Raptors hosted the Detroit Pistons at the Air Canada Centre but it also happened to be the first ever You Can Play Night hosted by an NBA team.

The team also made sure there was a Raptors pride flag on the court during the national anthems.

You Can Play has already partnered with the NHL, NHLPA, NFL, CFL, CWHL, MLS, MLL, NWHL, America East Conference, Big Sky Conference, Colorado High School Activities Association and the Canadian Olympic Committee, and now they can add the Toronto Raptors and the NBA to the list.
