There is literally no one in sports who needs a win right now the way the Buffalo Sabres do.

Seriously. We completely understand that they ended up in a very unfortunate division in such an important year for them, and we very much DO NOT want to keep ragging on these guys. More than anything, we know their fans deserve a win or two and something to cheer for.

The Sabres haven‘t won a game since February 23rd, and are desperately searching for ways to halt their 13-game losing skid. The club‘s most recent attempt to shake things up was three days ago, when they fired head coach Ralph Krueger.

The Sabres still managed to drop their first game without Kreuger 4-1 to the Bruins on Thursday, but even before that happened, players weren’t shy about commenting on their disappointment in how the season has gone thus far.

Rasmus Ristolainen has been specifically honest, and has already dropped a couple of really candid lines about the state of affairs in Buffalo.

Though it‘s been tough for some time now, and especially this year, we can imagine that yesterday‘s loss felt like a worse kick in the gut than usual. Ristolainen had this to say about Kreuger‘s firing, and it‘s enough to make any sports fan cringe.

Ouch. The onus is definitely on the players now to pick it up now, so we‘ll see what happens in the second half. Hopefully only good things!
