Roger Federer is one of the greatest tennis players to ever play the game, so fans will do whatever it takes to get a chance to watch the 8-time Wimbledon champion in action when he comes to town.

The 36-year-old tennis star showed up to New York City earlier this week for the US Open and he’s been making the most of his time in The Big Apple.

Empire state of mind 🗽

On Wednesday afternoon, Federer decided to use some of his spare time to practice ahead of his Thursday match against Mikhail Youzhny. Rather than heading to a private club and working out behind closed doors, Federer decided to hit up the tennis courts at Central Park.

As expected, the winner of 19 Grand Slam Titles ended up drawing quite the crowd once everyone realized who was practicing on the open court.

He even stuck around after he was done working out to snap some selfies with the spectators and signed some autographs for them as well.

You never know what you’re going to see in New York City.
