The 2018 NLL season got underway last week and there’s already been quite a few highlight reel plays, including this fantastic goal by Colorado Mammoth rookie Ryan Lee.

The second week of action got underway on Friday night and for the second consecutive week the Vancouver Stealth ended up on the wrong end up a highlight reel play put forth by an NLL rookie.

Calgary Roughnecks rookie Zach Currier showed NLL fans why he was selected third overall in this year’s draft by displaying an outstanding individual effort off a faceoff that led to his second goal in as many games.

Currier’s goal extended the Roughnecks’ lead to three and came just nine seconds after Calgary made it a two-goal game.

The Peterborough, Ontario native’s goal was part of a six-goal third quarter outburst by the Roughnecks and they eventually went on to win 15-12 to earn their first win of the season, while the Stealth dropped to 0-2 with the loss.
