Whether you like it or not, trolls will always roam social media platforms like Twitter and they'll say whatever to whoever without any regard for the consequences of tweeting whatever they want.

It's easy for fans to sit back and troll athletes for a bad game, for example, because athletes don't usually respond to trolls.  Apparently Scott Darling isn't one of those athletes.

On Monday, Darling shut down a Twitter troll in the perfect way after a classless tweet was directed at the Hurricanes goaltender.

As you can see, the original tweet isn't there anymore because it was deleted, but someone on Reddit Hockey was able to grab a screenshot of it and it's awful to say the least.  If you want to see it, you can by clicking here.

Either way, it was an incredibly classy response from Darling considering how awful the tweet was and it was a great reminder to just not troll anyone.  Instead, spread happiness, kindness and love and try and make this world a better place every day.
