Connor McDavid makes headlines on a weekly basis for an unbelievable play he makes on the ice, but his highlight reel goal on Monday night got him a little more pumped up than usual considering it was his first NHL goal in his hometown.
Fans across the league couldn’t stop watching the goal or talking about it on social media, and former NHLer Scott Hartnell even went as far as recreating the goal with some help from his son.
Baby Hartnell didn’t seem to appreciate getting walked around like that and gave his father an extra slash at the end.
The officials will probably let that late stick work go, though.
