Katrina King is one of the biggest hockey fans you’ll ever meet. The 23-year-old lives and breathes hockey, especially the Springfield Thunderbirds. However, Katrina experiences the game in an entirely different way from a majority of fans as she happens to be legally blind and suffers from cerebral palsy. However, thanks to Thunderbirds defenceman Ed Wittchow, the Thunderbirds organization and the Antonanacci Foundation.

Wittchow’s first interactions with Katrina were life-changing as they’ve become very close friends ever since. As a result, the 25-year-old recently stepped up in a very massive way by teaming up with the Antonanacci Foundation to provide Katrina with glasses that will allow her to see and experience the game like everyone else in attendance or watching from home.

Katrina has been a fan of the Thunderbirds and the game of hockey for nearly 15 years and now she’ll get the ultimate experience of her favourite sport thanks to her good friend Ed.

We’re guessing Katrina has had some awesome experiences as a Thunderbirds fan over the years, but next year is going to be something special.
