Steven Stamkos is a Markham, Ontario, native, but If you took a quick  scroll down his Twitter feed, you wouldn’t be able to tell.

The 30-year-old forward, who was so famously sidelined by injury for all but five minutes of the Stanley Cup Playoffs where the team he captains came out with the Cup, recorded 105 points in 61 games his last OHL season. This stellar play earned him the first overall selection in the 2008 NHL entry draft by the Tampa Bay Lightning, and the rest is history.

In case you haven’t checked out his Twitter feed, Stamkos is literally the biggest Tampa sports fan there is. Seriously!

Obviously, Stamkos reps the Lightning hard.

That ones a given, but he’s also known to show huge love for the Bucs!

But wait, there’s more! Stamkos has been live tweeting the Rays World Series run, just to round out his Tampa sports love.

Of course, he was pretty sad after their loss tonight.

Come on. How could you not love this guy and what a team player he is?

As you might remember, Stamkos is reportedly not on the Lightning’s ‘untouchables’ list in terms of players who have the potential to be traded.

Seriously, though, the Tampa sports scene deserves a Steven Stamkos level supporter, and we can’t imagine him playing anywhere else.
