Fresh off signing a massive six-year, $31,000,000 extension with the Washington Capitals that’ll pay him $5.17 million annually after winning hockey’s ultimate prize,  Tom Wilson is back in the gym preparing for the upcoming NHL season.

The Toronto, Ontario, product was spotted in Toronto early Sunday morning getting in a little chest pump with a new workout buddy: none other than Lord Stanley’s mug.

Sunday just so happens to be Wilson’s day with the cup, and he brought it back to his old stomping grounds at the North Toronto Arena in partnership with Sick Kids.

Before the day started, Wilson kept up with a tradition of eating out of the Stanley Cup by filling it up with a bowl of Lucky Charms.

Donations from the event will be pledged to Sick Kids Foundation. The hospital in Toronto is the second-largest pediatric research centre in the entire world.

Wilson is a GTHL grad of the North Toronto team and the Toronto Jr. Canadians.

Last season, the hulking power-forward recorded notched a career high in goals and points after notching 14 on the year and 35 total points. Wilson was a key part in the Capitals’ cup run, adding 15 points in 21 playoff games.
