Baseball's best players are in Washington for the All-Star break and with so much talent in one place, The Washington Post took advantage of the situation by asking players what would they change if they were in charge of the league for one day.

The answers varied, of course, but one stood out in particular to us because it was about hockey and it was from Trevor Bauer.

“I would make baseball hockey,” Cleveland Indians starting pitcher Trevor Bauer said, “because hockey is awesome.”

Bauer has tweeted about hockey in the past.  In fact, on the night that Alex Ovechkin and the Capitals won the Stanley Cup, he tweeted this praising the presentation of the Cup.

He also tweeted this during the Tampa Bay and Washington series:

Clearly Bauer is a fan of hockey and loves the game (with a last name like that how could he not!).

Although his answer for what he would change if he were in charge of the league for one day is basically impossible, we're sure it was very much appreciated by hockey fans and Canadians who probably hated him because of his trolling on social media in the past.
